What customers say?

“ South American cuisine. It gets crazy busy during lunch. Which shows its popularity. They close early. Around 5, plus run out of dishes so be quick. Theyve put their prices up recently. But so has many places. The price has put it into the treat section rather than a go to place for me now. Bit it's a v good treat. Pictured. The Patacones sandwich. Pulled beef covered by plantain as buns. Next level stuff. Highly recommended. ”

“ My husband saw this chain on a walk in the city, so we were excited to try the food. I am vegetarian and it was nice to see veggie options too. Both the servers were very welcoming and offered their recommendations. Well, the food was absolutely delicious! I had the vegan chicken supreme. It was a good size and filled with vegan chicken, which had both a good texture and flavour. The green sauce was plentiful and really tasty. A good choice of drinks and a decent price made for a great lunch. Latin music played gently in the background, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I am already planning another visit, maybe to the one in Smithfield, so I can try the other veggie options, like the vegan Cuban and vegan pork belly. Highly recommended. ”

“ Great quality chicken - halal as well! Highly recommend to eat in with the green sauce. Very filling! Sometimes the sandwiches can be very efficient with the ciabatta roll. ”

“ Assenheims chicken is great! You get there and no matter how long the queue might look it moves and quite fast. The price is very good for the size of the portions. The dynamic is a little chaotic if you want to eat in, as you order like if you are doing take away and then you just grab your bag and go back inside to find a seat. And good luck finding one (seating space is very limited as the place is small) ”

“ One of the popular places to get lunch from in the city. If you’re after 12 expect a queue but it does go quickly. The chicken is great and I usually go for a regular with veg and potato. The potato is often under or overcooked. You can get rice and salad so I should probably opt for one of those instead :) The chicken isn’t really peri peri. But it is very tasty! Then there’s the magic green sauce you can see in the pot. Whack that over the top of the food and it takes the dish to a whole new level. You can eat in but I’ve never eaten in. Only take away. It’s a great place to eat. ”

“ Really flavoursome, quick service for a quick bite. Went during lunch time it was still a fast service. The green sauce really added to the flavour so make sure you do add that when they ask. A nice option of sides to choose from. ”

“ This place ALWAYS has a queue at all its various city locations, so I figured it was finally time to give it a try. The setup was efficient, and the service was excellent. As for the food, while it was definitely above average, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The rice was well-seasoned and packed with flavour, and the new potatoes were perfectly tender and also nicely seasoned. However, the chicken, which everyone seems to rave about, was just okay, I expected a bit more depth of flavour. For me, most of the taste came from the delicious chili sauce. The portion size, though, was generous for a lunch meal, so in that regard, it didn’t disappoint. ”

“ *Effective* lunch spot, if you want good meat with some carbs then this is ideal. The chicken box and sauce is great and with a great choice of sides (rice, veg, potatoes). Very quick service even with a long queue and seating available inside. Nothing to particularly rave about, you can get a more interesting lunch for the same price range but can’t knock it! ”
